We offer wooden, upholstered, and metal benches designed to be placed at the foot of a bed. Materials: solid wood, engineered wood (MDF), metal, fabric, faux leather.
6. What safety standards do your benches meet?
Benches are general-use furniture. They must comply with CPSC general safety requirements (no sharp edges, stable construction) under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA), 16 CFR Part 1500. A General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) is required.
Note: ASTM F2057‑23 / 16 CFR Part 1261 (the mandatory CPSC standard for clothing storage units) does not apply to foot-of-bed benches, as they are not enclosed storage units with drawers or doors. However, we voluntarily meet ASTM stability standards for general seating/storage furniture.
7. What types of throw pillows do you offer?
We offer decorative throw pillows in various sizes, shapes, and fills (polyester fiberfill, down alternative, foam). Covers are removable and machine washable unless noted.
8. What safety standards do your throw pillows meet?
Our throw pillows comply with:
-
Flammability (16 CFR Part 1610): All pillow cover fabrics are tested for surface burning rate. Class 1 (normal flammability) is the minimum requirement. Products that fail Class 1 are permanently labeled "FLAMMABLE".
-
FTC Textile Fiber Products Identification Act (16 CFR Part 303): Permanent labels disclose fiber content, country of origin, and manufacturer information.
-
FTC Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 423): Permanent care instructions attached.
-
State Law Label / URN: Many states require a permanent law label with Uniform Registration Number (URN) and the warning: "UNDER PENALTY OF LAW THIS TAG NOT TO BE REMOVED EXCEPT BY CONSUMER".
9. Do your throw pillows require a General Certificate of Conformity (GCC)?
Yes. Throw pillows are general‑use products subject to CPSC safety rules under the Flammable Fabrics Act (FFA). We provide a GCC certifying compliance with 16 CFR Part 1610.
10. Do you have a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) for pillows?
If a throw pillow is intended for children 12 and under (e.g., decorative pillows for a child's room), we provide a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) based on third‑party testing at a CPSC‑accepted laboratory.
11. What is California Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 requires warnings for products containing chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Throw pillows may contain listed chemicals (e.g., certain dyes, flame retardants). When applicable, a Proposition 65 warning will be displayed on product pages and packaging.
